Project management was traditionally a specialist skill area used primarily in large complex projects, such as those in construction, engineering and information technology. This skill area is now becoming increasingly in demand across most industries and job functions. Any set of tasks that are delimited in time, with a defined set of requirements, can be managed as a project. Having a tried and tested toolkit that is scale-able to large and small projects alike, is becoming an essential requirement for most business professionals.
You will gain an understanding of the essential steps in the project life cycle and reflect on the techniques available to you and how they can be applied. You will have the opportunity to review, in the light of your new knowledge and experience, a project on which you have already worked. The topics covered include stakeholders, finance, risk, people, project administration and quality etc.
The Project Management module from The ELBC UK takes a broad approach to technological projects and will be relevant to project managers and those wishing to increase their knowledge about project management.
